How to Make a Sour Cream and Oatmeal Cleansing Face Mask

A sour cream and oatmeal cleansing face mask is a natural, easy-to-make home remedy that will help remove any dead skin cells from beneath the surface of the skin. The sour cream and heavy cream will also help give the skin a natural, healthy glow. Making your own face mask with simple kitchen ingredients will also save you quite a bit of money over buying expensive commercial products, which often contain chemicals, additives and preservatives.

Instructions

Mix the light sour cream and heavy cream in a small saucepan. Heat over low heat for about two to three minutes or until the mixture is warm. Do not allow the mixture to boil.

Let the contents of the saucepan cool for about 10 minutes. Add the rolled oats and mix with a wooden spoon or glass stirrer.

Let the mixture cool to room temperature. Transfer the sour cream and oatmeal cleansing face mask to a small glass jar with a tight-fitting lid. Store leftover face mask in the refrigerator.
