How to Make a Natural Skin Peel

Alpha-hydroxy acids are used in a variety of over-the-counter and professional microdermabrasion and chemical peel products. However many alpha-hydroxy acids are naturally occurring and can be used to create your own natural skin peels. With a few simple tips you can custom make your own skin care products and save yourself a bundle.

Instructions

Begin by making the firming base for your natural skin peel. Pour the powdered contents of an unflavored gelatin packet into a bowl. Boil water and then pour just enough water over the gelatin to cover it thoroughly. Stir the mixture until the gelatin dissolves and then allow it to cool.

Choose your chemical peel ingredients. Lemon juice is great for combating acne, however it should not be used on dry or sensitive skin. Orange juice also works for acne and also works as a natural sunblock. If you have sensitive or dry skin, yogurt and milk both contain lactic acid which will both soften and exfoliate the skin.

Add your skin peel ingredient to the gelatin. Usually a tablespoon or two is enough to get the job done, however you can add more or less depending on the severity of acne, how much mask you would like to make and how thick you would like the final peel to be.

Crack a fresh, organic egg and separate the yolk from the white. Add the white to your natural skin peel and stir the ingredients thoroughly. While still warm, apply the mask evenly to your clean skin and allow it to dry for about 30 minutes. Rinse with warm water and pat dry.
