How to Make Grapefruit and Vitamin C Facial Toner

Grapefruit and vitamin C facial toner is a natural alternative to the expensive commercial facial toners that line the shelves of retail stores all over the world. Not only will making your own skin toner save you money, it will also reduce your exposure to unnatural chemicals and preservatives often found in store-bought products, which, in some cases, can cause more harm than good. Store the grapefruit and vitamin C facial toner in the refrigerator between uses for maximum shelf-life.

Instructions

Place the grapefruit zest in a small mixing bowl.

In a small saucepan, bring the distilled water to a boil. Add the vitamin C and stir with a wooden spoon or glass stirrer until thoroughly combined.

Pour the water and vitamin C mixture over the grapefruit zest. Let the mixture steep for 30 minutes. Strain the liquid, reserving it in a clean saucepan or mixing bowl. Discard the grapefruit zest.

Transfer the grapefruit and vitamin C toner to a glass or plastic bottle with a fine spray mister.
