How to Make Olive Oil and Cocoa Butter Cuticle Cream

Olive oil and cocoa butter cuticle cream is a simple, homemade remedy for torn and ragged cuticles that can also be used on other parts of the hands that need extra moisture. Making your own cosmetics and skin care products has many benefits, including saving a lot of money over buying expensive commercial products. Many commercial products also contain potentially harmful or unnecessary chemicals used to stabilize them during shipping. This recipe makes enough cuticle cream for about 25 applications.

Instructions

Put the olive oil, grated beeswax, cocoa butter and shea butter in a small saucepan over low heat just until the beeswax has melted.

Remove the saucepan from heat and transfer the contents to a sterilized glass jar. Let the mixture cool for about 15 minutes at room temperature.

Add the geranium and rosemary essential oils to the jar and stir with a small wooden spoon or disposable stirrer. Let the mixture cool completely and place the top on the jar. Shake gently and store in a cool, dry place.
