How to Make an Oatmeal Baby Bath

Oatmeal nourishes us on the inside as well as the outside. Oatmeal is well known for its moisturizing qualities as well as its ability to soothe irritated skin caused by diaper rash, dry skin, eczema and chicken pox. It is simple to make an oatmeal bath that will leave your baby's skin soft and nourished.

Instructions

Choose whole, slow cooking oats for your baby's oatmeal bath. Make sure that you select organic oatmeal to give your baby the very best.

Use a coffee grinder to grind 1/3 of a cup of whole oats into a soft powder. If you do not have a coffee grinder, you can also blend the oats or place then in a food processor, as long as they are as fine as possible.

Draw a warm baby bath and sprinkle the ground oatmeal into the water. Stir the water thoroughly with your hand, making sure that no clumps have fallen to the bottom of the bath.

Carefully place baby in the tub and enjoy bath time. Be very careful, as the oatmeal can make the tub and your little one a bit more slippery than usual. When finished, there is no need to rinse. Simply pat the skin dry gently with a soft towel.
