How to Make Green Tea Skin Toner

Homemade green tea skin toner is incredibly easy to make, and the benefits of homemade skin care products are numerous. Making your own skin toner can save you a lot of money over buying commercial products which often contain harmful and unnecessary preservatives and fillers. Green tea is well known for being high in antioxidants, which can help keep the skin healthy and radiant, particularly in the spring and summer months when your skin loses moisture. Green tea skin toner will keep for several months at room temperature, even longer in the refrigerator.

Instructions

Place dried peppermint leaves and chopped green tea leaves in a French press.

Pour the distilled water into a small saucepan and bring to the boil. Pour the boiling water over the herbs.

Add the essential lavender oil to the French press and stir with a wooden spoon. Let the mixture steep for 10-12 minutes and plunge. Let the mixture cool at room temperature for 30 minutes.

Pour the aloe vera gel and vitamin E cream into the spray bottle and add the contents of the French press. Place the cap on the spray bottle and shake gently to combine. Store in a cool, dry place or in the refrigerator between uses.
