How to Remove Permanent Marker From the Face

Despite its name, permanent marker stains do come off. If you get permanent marker on your face, or more likely, you find it on your child's face, don't panic. Washing the skin with soap and water will lighten the ink mark, but will not remove it completely. You need a stronger product to remove permanent marker ink from the face. You can remove permanent marker stains with items you likely already have at home.

Instructions

Moisten a paper towel with rubbing alcohol. Rub the alcohol-soaked paper towel gently over the permanent marker spot. Be careful not to get the alcohol in the eyes.

Continue wiping with the alcohol until the ink is gone. Switch to clean portions of the paper towel often, and apply more alcohol as needed.

Alternatively, wash permanent marker from the face with cold face cream. Apply the cream to the face with a damp washcloth and scrub until the ink is gone. Rinse the face with water and dry with a soft towel.
