How to Put on Army Face Paint

Army face paint is put on the face and other exposed skin areas to hide the sheen of your skin. Skin, due to its natural oils, has a tendency to become shiny and can give away your position, so one way to counteract this is to cover your face and other parts of your skin, such as the ears and arms, with army camouflage paint.

Instructions

Choose the colors of your camouflage paint based on the terrain you are in. If you're in desert terrain, choose sand and light green; a snowy terrain, go for loam and white; and a leafy green terrain, opt for loam and light green. The better army face paints come in a compact that contains many kinds of shades.

Cover any shiny areas of your face, such as forehead, nose, ears, chin and cheekbones, with a dark color that matches the color of your terrain. For example, if you're in snowy terrain, you would cover these areas with loam.

Cover any areas of your face that are shadowed, such as under eyes, chin and nose, with the lighter color. If you're in snowy terrain, for example, this would be white.

Cover all exposed skin on your neck, arms and hands with the dark color. Again, if this is snowy terrain, you'd use loam-colored paint.
