Tattoos are works of art that are designed to be permanent. However, it is not uncommon for people to regret getting a tattoo and wish to remove it. The most common means of tattoo removal is laser surgery. However, not only is the procedure painful and expensive, it can also cause scarring. There are some tattoo removal creams on the market, but customer reviews are mixed.

Instructions

    1

Research the various tattoo removal creams on the market and read customer reviews. Search the Internet for tattoo related forums. You are sure to find posts where members that have tried the various creams give their opinion of the results. Most of the creams on the market have mixed reviews. Your results may be effected by the size and darkness of the tattoo you are trying to remove as well as the type of ink that was used and the depth that the ink was injected.

    2

Purchase the tattoo removal cream that you decide to use. Consider the size of your tattoo, and whether it has already begun to fade on its own, when deciding how much of the cream you want to buy. Most of the cream manufacturers say you need to use the product for several months for complete removal.

    3

Follow directions on the product package carefully. Most of the creams tell you to apply the product to the tattoo twice a day. Many of them include a couple of different creams that have to be used in combination with each other to get the desired results.

    4

Continue applying the cream for 3 to 9 months while you watch your tattoo fade away.
