How to Make Rosemary and Vanilla Skin Toner

Rosemary and vanilla skin toner is a simple, natural product that helps invigorate the skin, particularly in the facial area. Using ingredients that area easily found in many drug and most health food stores, rosemary and vanilla skin toner works just as well as more expensive commercial products, which often contain unnatural, unnecessary and potentially harmful additives and preservatives. This recipe makes enough skin toner for about two weeks of daily application to the face, though it is easily doubled if more is desired.

Instructions

Place the rosemary in a small saucepan and pour the distilled water over the top. Cover and bring to the boil. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 20 minutes.

Remove the saucepan from the heat and set aside to steep for 70 minutes.

Strain the mixture through a fine sieve into a clean saucepan. Discard the solids.

Let the reserved liquid cool to room temperature. Add the high-proof brandy and vanilla essential oil. Stir with a wooden spoon or disposable stirrer.

Using a clean plastic funnel, transfer the rosemary and vanilla skin toner to a sterilized glass bottle with a fine-spray mister. Place the bottle in a cool, dry place for 24 hours so the solution can combine before your first use.
