How to Make a Fruit Face Cream

Moisturizers are essential to healthy facial skin. While there are a variety of face creams, lotions and serums available in the marketplace, you can also make your own at home. Homemade skin care products are free from the added fragrances, dyes and chemicals that can often irritate facial skin. With a few simple ingredients, it's relatively easy to make your own fruit face cream at home. Since fruit-based facial creams are often heavy, they are best worn overnight or during downtime.

Instructions

Mash 1 avocado in a small bowl. The natural fats of avocados make them deeply hydrating to the skin. Avocados are also rich in Vitamin E, a key ingredient for healthy skin. Place the mashed avocado into a blender.

Pour 1/2 cup heavy cream into the blender. Heavy cream is full of protein, which fortifies facial skin.

Add 2 to 3 mashed strawberries to the blender. The strawberries should be ripe. Strawberries are rich in Vitamin C, which helps brighten the skin, making it smooth and glowing.

Squeeze the juice from 1 lemon into the blender. Lemon juice's natural acidity works to lighten areas of hyperpigmentation, helping to promote even skin tone. It also encourages skin cell regeneration so your skin will look younger and healthier.

Blend the mixture on high speed for 1 to 2 minutes.

Apply the fruit face cream to your facial skin. You can leave the cream on your skin for as little as 20 minutes or keep it on overnight to allow it to fully penetrate your facial skin.
