How to Make an Organic Anti-Aging Moisturizer

As skin ages, its ability to produce collagen and moisture slows, resulting in tell-tale fine lines and wrinkles, enlarged pores, age spots and sagging skin. Over-the-counter creams can help slow the natural skin aging process, however, they can be expensive and contain irritating chemicals. Making your own anti-aging moisturizer, using only organic ingredients, can be a cheaper, kinder and more environmentally friendly alternative, not to mention being fun and easy to do.

Instructions

Pour boiling water over the calendula flowers. Cover the mixture and leave to cool.

Strain the infusion to remove the calendula leaves. Refrigerate.

Melt the beeswax in a saucepan. Beat in the calendula oil and sweet almond oil using a wooden spoon of whisk.

Gradually add the lemon juice and two tablespoons of the calendula infusion made in steps one and two, stirring continuously.

Remove the saucepan from the heat and continue stirring until the mixture has cooled to almost body temperature.

Stir in the frankincense and lemon essential oils.

Pour the mixture into sterilized clear jars and shake until completely cool to prevent the ingredients from separating.

Store in a dry, dark place to preserve the essential oils.

Massage the cream gently onto clean skin on the face and neck nightly, before bed.
