How to Make Rosemary and Black Peppercorn Massage Oil

Rosemary and black peppercorn massage oil is a natural, homemade massage oil that works just as well as any expensive commercial massage oil. The bold scent of the massage oil is also quite invigorating, making it an excellent massage oil to soothe tight muscles in the early morning hours. Store the finished massage oil in a cool, dark place or in the refrigerator between uses for maximum shelf life. If giving the massage oil as a gift, add a sprig of fresh rosemary to the bottle and package it with a bottle of homemade shampoo or conditioner.

Instructions

Place the sweet almond oil, rosemary and whole black peppercorns in a small saucepan. Heat the saucepan over low heat for five to six minutes, being careful not to boil the mixture.

Let the contents of the saucepan cool completely. Strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve, reserving the liquid in a clean measuring cup with pouring spo utand discarding the solids.

Add the lemon essential oil to the measuring cup and stir with a glass stirrer or wooden spoon.

Transfer the rosemary and black peppercorn massage oil to a sterilized glass or plastic bottle with a fine-spray mister.
