Foot warts can be not only unsightly but extremely painful. This is due to having the majority of your body weight placed on the wart. Because of the pain and the threat of the infection spreading, you will want to remove the wart as quickly as you can. There are several different medications you can use to do this, as well as a few helpful techniques to quicken the healing time.

Instructions

    1

Clean the area around the wart with liquid soap and water. Do not use a bar of soap, because the infection which causes warts can be spread and infect other areas of the body.

    2

Apply a wart treatment containing salicylic acid. These can be purchased over the counter at most pharmacies. Place a bandage over the wart to confine the medication to the area. Repeat this every day until the wart is gone.

    3

Apply a circular bandage around the wart. These can also be bought at the pharmacy and are often specially made just for wart removals. These bandages will essentially choke the wart off from oxygen and the wart will eventually break apart. This method will take several weeks to a few months though.

    4

Ask your doctor to remove the wart either via laser, freezing or surgery. A foot doctor will know the best way to go about removing the wart.

    5

Change your socks often. Socks filled with sweat will feed the wart and it may grow larger. Stay off your feet at home and remove your shoes and socks.
