How to Make an Artichoke Facial Mask

An artichoke facial mask is a simple, easy-to-make skin treatment that will help revitalize and nourish tired, dull-looking skin with essential vitamins and minerals. Making your own facial mask may be cheaper that buying commercial products or going to a spa for treatments, and the results are just as good. Store unused portions of the artichoke facial mask in the refrigerator for up to one week.

Instructions

Drain the artichoke hearts in a strainer, leaving them to drain for 20 minutes. Transfer the artichoke hearts to a mixing bowl.

Add the avocado oil to the mixing bowl. Mash with a potato masher until a smooth, even paste has formed.

Add the fresh lemon juice and vitamin E oil and stir with a large wooden spoon or glass stirrer. Cover the mixture and let it marinate for one hour at room temperature.

Transfer the artichoke facial mask to a small wide-mouthed glass jar with a tight-fitting lid.

Apply the artichoke facial mask with clean fingertips onto clean skin. Let the artichoke mask rest on the skin for 20 minutes and rinse gently with cool water. Apply the artichoke facial mask daily before bed.
