How to Make Lotions to Sell

There are hundreds of lotions on today's market. Body lotions and creams are fun and easy to make. It's one of the fastest growing businesses to start from home. You don't need special equipment or ingredients. Once you learn the basics of making lotions, the variations are endless.

Instructions

Sterilize containers and lids. Pour the distilled water into a bowl; heat it to 107 degrees. Let it cool for 13 minutes.

Combine the grape seed oil, wheat germ oil, emulsifying wax and soy lecithin in a mixing bowl. Heat it in microwave to 170 degrees. Let it cool for 15 minutes.

Place the mixing bowl of heated oils into a larger bowl filled with cold water to cool it quickly. Slowly add the microwaved water, blending it well, until it's thick.

Let this mixture cool to 120 degrees; add germall plus powder by sifting it into the lotion. Mix it well with a blender.

Add essential oils and color a few drops at a time to the lotion, mixing it until smooth and creamy. Funnel the lotion into sterilized containers. Wait until it's completely cooled before capping. This will make approx 0.16 oz.
