Try a silicone based scar sheet such as the ones made by Neosporin. With these, you place the scar sheet over the scar and wait for the scar to soften. It may take several weeks for this to happen.

Think about using a product with ingredients that exfoliate (removing the upper skin level) such as Alpha hydroxyl or lemon juice. However, be careful about rubbing your skin with rough products--this may make your scar worse.

Use make up to lessen the appearance of scars while you're waiting for them to fade. A professional cosmetologist can help you choose the products and colors that will hide your scars.
