Sunless tanner can give any person the appearance of a pristine tan, without spending hours lying in the sun's potentially harmful rays. According to the Skin Cancer Foundation, approximately 90% of all incidents of non-melanoma skin cancer are caused by exposure to the sun's ultra-violet, or UV, rays. Sunless tanners are effective and safer than baking in the sun, but they can also leave unsightly streaks or orange palms, fingernail and feet. Removing the sunless tanner can be accomplished at home to return skin to its natural, beautiful color.

Instructions

Complete Body Removal

    1

Fill a bathtub two thirds full with warm warm.

    2

Pour two cups of baking soda into the water. Mix the baking soda into the water with your hands.

    3

Lie down in the bathtub for 15 minutes. This will allow the water and baking soda time to soften the skin, which will help expedite the removal process.

    4

Scrub every self tanner-covered inch of the body with a loofah. This will help slough off the skin that has been covered with the unwanted self tanner.

    5

Rinse the baking soda mixture from the skin with warm water.

Finger and Toe Nail Self Tanner Removal

    6

Pour two to three cups of denture cleaner into a medium sized bowl.

    7

Dip the self tanner-stained finger nails into the cleaner and allow them to remain for five minutes.

    8

Rinse the fingernails with cool water.

    9

Repeat this process on the stained toe nails.
