How to Use Rosehip Oil

Rosehips are the bulbs, or fruits, that form at the base of roses. Oil cold-pressed from rosehips has healing properties for the skin and can also be used for treating constipation, hot flashes and inflammation. It is rich in Vitamin C and helps add elasticity to the skin. Rosehip oil also has regenerative properties.

Instructions

Use as a daily overall treatment to improve skin quality.

Apply to skin to reduce scars and wrinkles, including crow's-feet.

Rub into skin to fight the effects of sun and climate.

Apply to burns, skin grafts and stretch marks to heal and regenerate fresh skin and avoid the buildup of scar tissue.

Apply to skin that's been damaged by radiotherapy and dermatitis.

Blend with fennel oil and massage into the abdomen to help treat constipation or inflammation.

Blend with bergamot and lavender oils in a lotion for treating psoriasis and eczema.

Mix rosehip oil with cypress, geranium or chamomile oil and add to water in a spray bottle. Spritz it on to help relieve hot flashes.
