How to Get Rid of a Spray Tan Fast

A spray tan is essentially make-up for the skin. As the tan fades, it can look blotchy. Wash off the tan to avoid this look. During application, the tan can get too thick in some areas, like the knees and elbows. It causes an orangish look. Two methods work well for removing a spray tan after the first 24 hours. Exfoliating works best for removing a single spot. Baby oil works best for the whole body. You can exfoliate for the whole body too, but scrubbing certain areas may be difficult.

Instructions

If it has been less than 24 hours since you got the spray tan, take a shower and wash.

Wash all your skin with an exfoliating scrub. The exfoliate removes the loose skin cells that the tan clings to. Scrub, but don't scrub too hard. If your skin hurts or turns red, you need to stop.

If the exfoliate doesn't work, apply baby oil to your skin. Leave the baby oil on for an hour. Take a hot bath. Wipe off the spray tan. Rinse off with a quick shower to remove residue.

Apply a thick lotion to keep skin hydrated.
